CHARTER OF VALUES
The SNG group has developed a unique Code to transfer values and responsibilities which meet-up with the company’s culture of the Group, addressed to all internal and external stakeholders which participate in the value chain: both the Governance of employees, suppliers, laboratories and clients, Public Administration and the environment organisations.
The representation of the values of respect and research, as main elements of the activity, is expressed not only by the compliance with the main principles of law, honesty, transparency, fairness and good faith, but it’s also focused to meet the aims of sustainable development in respect of people: employees, contractors, suppliers and consumers.
The attentive view of the companies of the Group to research innovative processes and guarantee high quality standards, heading towards those sustainable products which meet the common requirements of the clients. The management of sustainable materials develops through a tracking system set up by the company, capable to follow and identify the article along the processing cycle right up until the finished product.
In the second half of 2020 the Group has started the project 4sustainability in cooperation with the consulting company Process Factory according to ZDHC (Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemical) method, agreed and shared by the most important Luxury Brands. The approach combines and provides distinct methods for risk management and compliance, by integrating environmental management, safety, social liability and sustainability.
Workers, contractors, suppliers, people who use our product are the main resources and we appreciate their work, listen to them, share knowledge, work harmoniously which is the core of our project.
PEOPLE
Employees, collaborators, suppliers, people who use our products, are our fondamental resource. Listen to them, share knowledge with them and work well with them is the heart of our projects
REASEARCH AND TRACKING SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
The responsibility of the Group and of the main Luxury Brands with regard to the environment , and the top priority to reduce the environmental impact produced by the textile processes, have led the companies of the Group to pay particular attention to research and selections of sustainable materials. Research is addressed especially to textile materials which, for consumptions and varieties, represent the most significant environmental impact. Within the company, internal resources dedicate in the research of fabrics and work actively with the suppliers to select organic and recycled materials in order to reconcile the need to use sustainable materials with the standards of high quality and style required by the clients. The composition and origin of the sustainable fabric has to be certified by recognized organisations which the supplier will have to provide. In cooperation with one of the major clients operating in the world of luxury, the company has implemented an internal process to track sustainable materials, capable to lead back to the specific fabric roll and to the finished garment, by going through the different stages of the item’s processing.
THE PROJECT 4SUSTAINABILITY
The incentive of the market and the evaluation of the environmental impact of the working processes of the SNG Group pushed us to look for solutions for a more sustainable production also from the chemical point of view. Sensitivity to environmental issues and the priority aim to protect mankind and the environment, led the Group to face the subject of chemical substances toxic and harmful to health, implementing in the production cycle activities and supervisions with the aim to gradually remove the presence, by applying the guidance of the ZDHC programme (Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemicals). The evaluation of the chemical risk and the holistic approach allow the Group to contribute to reach some of the sustainable development objectives 2030 adopted by the United Nations (SDG’s). In view of the objectives, a management method has been identified and structured in progressive levels of implementation and focused to excellence:
CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT 4SUSTAINABILITY PROTOCOL
In order to establish an evaluation system of the suppliers by charting and managing the supply chain according to risk classes through the adoption of control plans. The instrument allows us to control the tracking management system in production and to detect the possible actions to improve.
